Monolith Soft is a first-party Nintendo developer. Though previously a satellite of Namco, Nintendo in 2007 bought out a controlling share.
Monolith began as a group of ex-Square employees, most notably Hirohide Sugiura and Tetsuya Takahashi. As a testament to the group's strong ties back to Square, their first project was Xenosaga, the spiritual successor to Xenogears.

Nintendo has announced it will be releasing Xenoblade this year on the Wii under the title 'Xenoblade Chronicles'. The release will include both Japanese & English audio, with English, French, Italian, German and Spanish subtitles.
Nintendo Europe have also released a trailer for the game on their website.
Xenoblade is a Role Playing Game developed by Monolith Soft for the Wii. It was released on June 10, 2010 in Japan and has no current confirmed release window for the United States.
