The Nintendo 64DD ("disk drive", previously "dynamic drive") is a peripheral for Nintendo 64. Announced in 1995, N64 DD promised exciting add-on content for existing N64 games and a potentially ground-breaking suite of software where gamers could make their own 3D polygon models, 3D avatars and music. It took until December 1 of 1999 for the unit to be given an extremely limited release in Japan only. The peripheral ultimately had only nine titles released.
