Nintendo Wars, otherwise known as Famicom Wars, Advance Wars, or simply Wars, is a series of turn-based strategy games by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo.
The series debuted in Japan on August 12, 1988 with Famicom Wars. No title would be published outside Japan until Advance Wars in 2000.
Nintendo Wars draws many parallels to the Fire Emblem series, which is no coincidence; Both are developed by Intelligent Systems.
