Metal Gear Solid HD Not Coming to Europe Until 2012, 'Transfarring' to be Japan Only

Metal Gear Solid HD Not Coming to Europe Until 2012, 'Transfarring' to be Japan Only

BlogKonami has announced that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be available in the United States on November 8. Great if you live there. If you're in Europe - too bad. You have to wait until sometime next year, in 2012. Do we really still live in an era that requires months of extra waiting time for PAL releases because companies were too slack to get their European language localisation sorted earlier? Really? I call bullshit frankly, and I wish companies would move forward and localise things on time. It's not like Konami Europe didn't know the title was coming - what's the deal here? Final Fantasy XIII had no problem with this, neither did Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Even God of War III was only out a couple of days later in Europe than its United States release. PlayStation 3 sales increase by over 400% in Australia

PlayStation 3 sales increase by over 400% in Australia

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia advised sales of the PlayStation 3 in Australia rose by over 400% in the week since the recent price drop.

The new prices are set to $349.95 (AUD) and $449.95 (AUD) for the 160GB and 320GB models respectively. This price drop leaves the units $150 cheaper than before.

Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Australia Michael Ephraim was understandably pleased and will now ask Sony's R&D team to develop a solid executive chair built entirely out of Australian $50 notes. Sony Corporation is reported to be pleased and isn't sure if they'll be converting the Australian profit to another currency at this time due to current exchange rates.
