Sony posted a $2.9 billion loss for October-December 2011 making this the forth year in a row the company has faced significant financial loss1. Kazuo Hirai will be promoted to CEO of Sony Corporation2, moving up from his current role as President of the Consumer Products & Services Group (as well as other executive roles within the company). The Last Guardian producer Yoshifusa Hayama has left Sony for social games company Bossa Studios, reports Gamasutra. With his departure came rumors that famed developer Fumito Ueda, the creative force behind Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, was also leaving; rumors which were confirmed several days ago. Ueda will complete his work on The Last Guardian before leaving Sony. However, where he will turn up is not yet known. Read on
