Spider-Man

Bitten by a radioactive spider, high school student Peter Parker gained the speed, strength and powers of a spider. Adopting the name Spider-Man, Peter hoped to start a career using his new abilities. Taught that with great power comes great responsibility, Spidey has vowed to use his powers for good.

Spider-Man is a Marvel Comics superhero created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko in 1962. Since first appearing in the graphic adventure game Questprobe #2 Featuring Spider-Man in 1978, Spider-Man has been depicted in numerous videogame appearances across a wide array of game platforms.

"The only one who can save me is already dead."

This fall, Beenox, the guys that brought you Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, are back with Spider-Man: Edge of Time. This beat-'em up platformer will have players alternating between present-day Peter Parker and Miguel O'Hara of the Spider-Man 2099 universe. Both Spideys will have to work together to save Parker from an untimely death and thus saving the future from catastrophe. Interestingly, actions preformed by Parker in the present will affect O'Hara's timeline, which will surely make for some intriguing interplay between the two heroes' actions. Look for it later this year for all systems including 3DS!

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Review

thumbs upRecently, I received Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions for the Wii, as a gift for my birthday. I had been really wanting to play this game for quite some time, so I was really excited. Spider-Man has always been, and still is, my favorite superhero that actually has superpowers; my other favorite would have to be The Punisher, only because, even though he has no powers, he does have a shitload of guns and knows how to use them. Researchers at the University of Manchester say they have cracked the secret of one of the reptile world's greatest climbers, the gecko, and produced a sticky tape that can mimic the lizard's gravity-defying abilities. Soon, people could walk on walls like comic-book superhero Spider-Man, the university said.
