Square and Bandai partner for new handheld

As Bandai develops a new handheld game machine, Square promises support with a Final Fantasy title. Bandai is working on a successor to their current handheld device, the Wonderswan. The unit will go on sale in Japan in December with a suggested retail price of 7,000 yen, or $65. Square plans to support the device by developing a Final Fantasy title for the color handheld. The title will be available at the system's launch date as well as three or four other planned titles.
