Grasshopper Manufacture

A game developer

Grasshopper Manufacture

Founded in March 1998 by Goichi Suda after he left Human Entertainment, Grasshopper Manufacture only had 3 staff working on their first title, The Silver Case1.

It wasn't until 2005's Killer7 that the company was known outside Japan - the game stirred some controversy and had very mixed reviews.

Grasshopper Manufacture seeks to creating titles that break from the conservative by infusing punk and other unique elements instead of going with 'what works'. Consequently their games (as was the case with Killer7) often receive mixed opinions and are not known for particularly high sales figures.
