- Alpha featured music from a then little-known composer named Nobuo Uematsu. It was his second composition for Square (the first being Cruise Chaser BLASSTY).
- Featured in Alpha are the classic blue backgrounds with white border text areas that would later be well known from Final Fantasy and thereafter.
