So apparently there's some new news regarding the upcoming Square Enix Party 2005, which is set to occur July 30-31 somewhere in Japan. Final Fantasy XII will be there. That fact alone virtually warrants coverage! Read on
With a recent update to its official Code Age Commanders website, Square Enix has revealed several details concerning two of the game's characters. The first of these, Kilroy, is detailed as being an assistant builder to the Ark, whose destruction by the Central Code drove him to become a Warhead in order to protect his people. Meme, his companion and also Warhead, has a past shrouded in mystery; which really isn't very helpful. A release date for Code Age Commanders (or its localization outside of Japan) has not yet been determined.
The official Code Age website has been updated with a new E3 trailer (select movie, then the one on the right) which showcases several scenes from the three upcoming expositions of the franchise (Archives, Brawls, and Commanders). There isn't much to see with Archives other than what seem like anime cuts, whereas Brawls seems to be a fairly generic low-framerate beat'em-up for mobile phones. Commanders looks great and seems to combine crazy Radiata Stories Tri-Ace battles with Zone of the Enders-esque animation/chaos. Let's hope it actually turns out good.
