Drakengard 2 coming to the lands of the "oh crap i can't think of a good metaphor" West

"We are very excited to be working with Square Enix to publish this highly anticipated RPG in North America and Europe," said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. "DRAKENGARD 2 is a hit in the Japanese market, and we are sure that North American and European gamers will also be thrilled by this fantastic adventure title." -- I think that about sums it up.1

Notes
  1. Square Enix

Square Enix's Drag-on Dragoon 2, the sequel to the abysmal Drakengard, has been released in Japan and is currently blowing away the competition as the #1 title on the charts. 125,000 units were reportedly sold, making it the first hit on the Japanese charts in weeks.1

Notes
  1. Gamesindustry.biz

According to Square Enix, J-Pop artist Mika Nakashima will be performing the new theme song to their upcoming action RPG Drakengard 2. The song, entitled "Hitori", was composed by Ryouki Matsumoto, who is also the game's acting sound producer. Though coming as no surprise in the wake of other such endeavors, this circumstance is unique in that "Hitori" has actually been made available on Nakashima's third album since the ninth of March, bringing into emphasis the marketing aspect of a such maneuver. But whether or not the candidate deserves the propaganda remains to be seen with the June 16th Japanese release of Drakengard 2.
