The portable extension of Fabula Nova Crystallis FINAL FANTASY XIII, Final Fantasy Type-0 promises to utilize gameplay similar to Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII but with the Active Time Battle System. An international release of the game is believed to be in development1.

- The game was originally titled Final Fantasy Agito XIII. Agito is Latin for "to put in motion," which may have be a reference to the game's platform.2
- On the 2nd of August, 2008 Square-Enix announced the title was also being developed for PlayStation Portable3.
- Type-0 will be the second title to utilize two UMD discs (the first being The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC)4.
