Final Fantasy Mystic Quest

An RPG game for Super NES by Square

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest box art

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was an RPG primer intended to coach American audiences on the rudimentary rules of the genre. The consciously generic story, character and graphics did not overwhelmingly appeal to English-language players, or to Japanese audiences when the Super Famicom cart was released there a year later as "Final Fantasy USA."
