As Meta Knight flies into the mysterious Mirror World above LAND to save the day Kirby is attacked by Dark Meta Knight while innocently going about his business. Kirby splits into four different colored versions of himself! Armed with nothing but a cell phone, Kirby embarks on a quest to set things right.
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror was a development collaboration between Flagship, Dimps and HAL Laboratory. Kirby's well-known copying/sucking/jumping abilities are now joined by his ability to call his new 'friends' (colored clones) with his cell phone - this limited use item (limited by the battery power available to the player) for assistance. The game supports multiple players (each having to have a Game Boy Advance and a copy of the game) and the additional players can be called upon rather than CPU-controlled clones.
The game sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide1. On December 16, 2011 the game was given a limited re-release on the Nintendo eShop for use on the Nintendo 3DS for 'Nintendo Ambassadors' (those who paid launch price before the 3DS price drop)
