Aperture Science Enrichment Centre, originally meant to be an outlet for military shower curtains, is now a seemingly long-abandoned place with only two inhabitants: GLaDOS, a super-computer with human-like sentience, and our protagonist, Chell. We witness as Chell endures the many tests put forward by GLaDOS, using nothing but a futuristic 'portal gun' for help and a 'Companion Cube' for friendship. But events slowly turn sinister...
