Psychonauts box art

Psychonauts is a cult favorite about the adventures of a circus boy attending psychic camp and his use of strange mental powers to overcome psychic barriers.

Despite the unique premise and game mechanics present in Psychonauts, it failed to garner commercial success. By June, 2007, Psychonauts was out of print, having sold around 400,000 copies.12. The game has been released on various digital distribution platforms.

Tim Schafer claims he is ready to make a Psychonauts sequel
I'm ready to do it. I'd love to do it. It's really a question of getting a publisher who's interested in doing it.

The excellent Psychonauts now available for preorder

BlogTim Schafer's purportedly excellent and oft-delayed ps2/xbox/gc game Psychonauts is now available for pre-order from EBgames. Just thought you'd like to know. Tim makes a good point: "Because the more pre-orders they get, the more advertising we'll get, and the more advertising we get, the more people will hear of the game and buy it and love it, and easier it will be for EXCELLENT GAMES TO ROLL OVER THE BAD GAMES LIKE A STEAMROLLER THIS YEAR AND EVERY YEAR FROM NOW ON!" If you bought Katamari Damacy, whip out your good will again and apply it to 2005!
