Resident Evil: Revelations is an all new Resident Evil game that's set on a creature-infested luxury cruise ship. The game is set between the time of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 and follows the actions of the BSAA anti bio-terror forces, which has just recently been formed (around the year 2005).1

Series veterans Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine return. Chris has gone missing, and Jill is dispatched to investigate his whereabouts. On her mission, Jill is joined by fellow BSAA operative Parker Luciani. Settings in addition to the cruise ship include a port town and a snowy mountain.

Do you really want to play a blockbuster title on the small screen? Handheld systems compromise certain types of gameplay by design — [their] controls are cramped, oddly placed and there just isn’t the same amount of real estate on the screen for big, 3D action.

Though Resident Evil: Revelations currently features the best character models and graphics out of any 3DS title on the floor at E3, it’s still kind of a downer to play it on a system ill-equipped to simulate big console titles.

IGN editor Samuel Claiborn arguing that "blockbuster" titles are compromised in handheld form.

Resident Evil: Revelations, due out next year on Nintendo's 3DS, is a brand new title with roots firmly planted in the early days of Resident Evil, back when the game was unequivocally about surviving the horrors of your journey, not shooting your way through them. Hands on: Resident Evil: Revelations is a Frightening, Delightful Experience (Kotaku)
