Every one hundred years a man is born of the Gerudo, a tribe of thieves and desert outcasts. When Ganondorf became their king, he set out to do great evil upon the land of Hyrule, his heart twisted for wont of power. Link, a fairyless Kokiri child of the forest becomes the land's only hope for peace.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a remake of the classic N64 title The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time with enhanced visuals, 3D effects, and several other innovations that make use of the 3DS system's capabilities. One new feature is the use of the touch screen to switch out items, boots, and tunics. The game can use the system's gyroscopic technology to look around and aim the player's bow, boomerang, and slingshot in first-person mode. In addition, the 3DS release has been confirmed to contain the modified Master Quest dungeons and mirrored overworld in addition to the original game, and a new "Boss Challenge" mode that allows the player to fight all of the bosses one at a time, or in sequential order. Master Quest will have its own version of the "Boss Challenge" mode, where the game will be mirrored and enemies will do twice the usual amount of damage. In accordance with Nintendo's somewhat recent innovation known as the "super guide", Ocarina of Time 3D will include brief 5-10 second video clips called "Visions" that serve as hints for players who may get lost.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - faithful & smart remake

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - faithful & smart remake

heartHaving just purchased a Nintendo 3DS almost entirely for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D one could argue I am a bit bias here. That wouldn't be entirely inaccurate - but I did put this title in with a certain degree of hesitation. Thankfully I was not only relieved by the lack of pointless changes but pleasantly surprised by what I found. Full Review

Eiji Aonuma thinks Navi prevents Ocarina of Time from being lonely and dull
Going on an adventure by yourself is lonely and dull. Navi may seem “annoying” at times, but it’s hard to imagine Ocarina of Time without communication with Navi, and communication partners like Navi have been employed in different forms in subsequent games in the Zelda series. I think that how you feel when you have to say goodbye to a partner who you sometimes thought was “annoying” is an important element of the experience of Ocarina of Time.
Nintendo game designer & director Eiji Aonuma in a Kotaku interview answers whether Navi is annoying (and if we can silence her in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D).
