Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume, the third game in the Valkyrie Profile series, brings a new spin on the DS. In this title, the Destiny Plume can be used and the player can chose to temporarily grant an ally with vastly improved statistics and abilities. Once the battle ends, the person who was affected dies, and Wylfred (main character) learns the special ability that was invoked upon using the power of the plume. If the player uses the Destiny Plume more than a preset amount of times in any chapter (the actual amount of times depends on the chapter), an impossible battle will take place thus causing the game to end.1
