Akihiko Yoshida

Akihiko Yoshida is a critically acclaimed character designer for Square Enix. He joined Square in 1995 and became a frequent collaborator with Yasumi Matsuno and Hitoshi Sakimoto. Two of his games, Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII have received perfect scores from Famitsu Magazine.

Tactics Ogre returning on PSP

After a lengthy hiatus, the Tactics Ogre series is returning with a sequel entitled Tactics Ogre: Wheel of Fate. It will be a remake of the original Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together from the Super NES period with the return of series architect Yasumi Matsuno along with his other peers, Hiroshi Minagawa, Akihiko Yoshida, Tsubasa Masao, Hitoshi Sakimoto, and Masaharu Iwata. This particular installment will feature a revision of the original game's story, along with some new characters and scenarios being written by Matsuno himself. Minagawa will take directorial role while Yoshida and Masao are designing the characters and Sakimoto and Iwata are doing the music. Read on

Final Fantasy XII concept, staff members revealed

Square revealed a teaser image and various Final Fantasy XII staff members in the form of an advertisement in the Japanese magazine Dorimaga. Jun Akiyama (FF VII) will be the production supervisor while Akihiko Yoshida (FF Tactics, Vagrant Story) has been chosen as character designer and Hideo Minaba (FF Tactics, FF IX) as art director.1
