Koichi Ishii is a producer and game director for Square Enix. Having first played a role in planning and battle graphics of the original Final Fantasy, he went on to serve as game designer of Final Fantasy II and director of Legend of Mana and Final Fantasy XI. He was also the producer of several Seiken Densetsu series titles including Children of Mana, Dawn of Mana, and Heroes of Mana.
