A freelance composer, Matsumae has composed for Capcom, Square Enix and elsewhere. Some of her Capcom themes were used for the Street Fighter II soundtrack, while in Japan her contributions can be found throughout the Derby Stallion series of games. She is married to fellow composer Kimitaka Matsumae.
