Mathieu Alvado began studying music at the age of 5 and saxaphone at 11. He continued his studies at the Bordeaux conservatory from 1998-2003, earning a number of prizes. Alvado then continued his studies at the Saint Maur des Fossés conservatory until May 2004 where he joined the Paris Conservatory and studied under Thierry Escaich.
His film credits include Al Dente (2007, short) and Love Recipe (2008, short) as well as the orchestration of Eleanor's Secret (2009). He also orchestrated the music written by Christophe Héral and Billy Martin for Rayman Origins.
Alvado currently teaches music alongside his composition and orchestration work.
