As you know, we have already collaborated with Retro for the Metroid Prime series in the past. And I think when we talk about any other franchise, Zelda might be a possible franchise for that collaboration.
There are a lot of games that I'd like to bring to [the 3D Classics line for 3DS]. We have a lot of different ideas... The Legend of Zelda is one that I'm definitely interested in.

Speaking to Edge Magazine today, Mario series creator Shigeru Miyamoto gave a few details on the upcoming Super Mario 3DS, including the release, which he claimed will be this year.
"It’s a combination of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario on N64," said Miyamoto. "It won't convey the message if I talk to you today, but if you play it at E3 that will give you more understanding of what I'm talking about... For example, the floors floating in space: in 2D it's difficult to judge the distance, but in 3D it's really easy."
Added Miyamoto, "The tail... on the logo – it's what you think it is. You probably know what's going to happen using that character."

He'd be saying things like, "His feet should move like this here, and the focal point is right around here..." This was around 2 or 3 in the morning, and pretty much all the development staff had already gone home. So it was just Miyamoto-san and me in the office, and he starts showing me how Mario is supposed to swim while saying, "It's not really a breast stroke, and not a crawl, but something like this maybe...?" And he was completely sprawled out on the desk doing these swimming motions. (laughs)... But when I looked at him there and noticed he wasn't a bit embarrassed, I thought, "This is the work of a true director."
If it was Princess Zelda, it would be great. However, this time Navi (the fairy) is jealous of Zelda. So within the story, Navi feels something for Link.
