A Square Enix press release has announced that the recently-unleashed and well reviewed Final Fantasy XII has set a new shipping record for the series, coming at 1.5 million U.S. copies, just over 60% of total Japanese sales to date. The number is promising, but if sales drop out the dust-collection record still stands.1
