It's been quite some time since we've heard anything from this pre-eminent game designer, but today Yasumi Matsuno has come out of his hiding place to debunk some wild rumors surrounding Hironobu Sakaguchi's project, The Last Story. A few fans/followers on twitter asked Matsuno a number of questions regarding his involvement with said game:

@SaveTheQueens: There is one thing I'd like to clarify. I'm not participating in the project.
ZackofAkkad: Hi Mr Matsuno.Glad to see you in good health! I'd like to know if we can still hope to see you back in videogame industry?
@ZackofAkkad well... Anything cannot be spoken still now. Please wait for a while.
So the rumors are debunked; Yasumi Matsuno is not working on The Last Story which means we can all sit back down and bathe in our own impatience for a little while longer. There is more to come it seems, it's only a matter of when.
