So apparently there's some new news regarding the upcoming Square Enix Party 2005, which is set to occur July 30-31 somewhere in Japan. Final Fantasy XII will be there. That fact alone virtually warrants coverage!
OK so this Square Enix party is going to be set at the "Makuhari hall" in Tokyo, apparently (something we actually reported earlier). New details involve how visitors will actually be interacting with the games on display there.

Square Enix Mega Theater

The theatre will be showing trailers for upcoming games, including a new one of nearly-released-omigod-I-can't-wait Advent Children and "something" of Final Fantasy XII. Probably more CG and a soapy lack of the name "Matsuno" anywhere in view.

Experience Zone

If you call it "zone", it's almost like it's a real game level! But hey, there'll be a lot of games to play (though not all of them worth spending time on, right Mr. Kawazu?). Here's a list:

• Final Fantasy XII (200 playable booths, wtf)


• Kingdom Hearts II (may as well be called "pure sex in digestable Disney form", but that's not entirely politically correct)


• Dirge of Cerberus, in which Vincent executes a more gothy take on Final Fantasy X-2, involving much slinging of phallic weaponry


• Code Age Commanders, who let the polymorphisms out


• Slime MoriMori: Dragon Quest 2 (for which we don't yet have any coverage)


• Heavy Metal Thunder, you know, that game with music by the Sex Machineguns in which you fight with huge-ass robots!


• Grandia III, also nearly out in Japan and probably the most popular of the show aside from FFVII:AC and FFXII


• Musashi Samurai Legend, which has a soundtrack by Hamauzu that I need


• Fullmetal Alchemist 3: Kami o Tsugu Shoujo but we don't even have the second game yet, so this doesn't count


• Final Fantasy XI -- still going! Also possibly on display in Xbox 360 form, but as yet unconfirmed


• Front Mission Online (which no one cares about, mainly because a] it's crap and b] it's Front Mission)
